Terms & Conditions
Our conference and holiday properties in the Cote D'Azur are rented on a short-term basis only.
Stays are limited to the period within the arrival date and the departure date as agreed in each booking.
Payment terms
For bookings made, more than 6 weeks before the arrival date:
- 50% of the rental amount is payable immediately on booking
- 100% of the rental amount is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival
- A fully refundable breakages deposit is payable by credit card, 3 weeks prior to arrival
For bookings made, less than 6 weeks and more than 3 weeks before the arrival date:
- 100% of the rental amount is payable immediately on booking
- A fully refundable breakages deposit is payable by credit card, 3 weeks prior to arrival
For bookings made, less than 3 weeks before the arrival date:
- 100% of the rental amount and a fully refundable breakages deposit is payable by credit card immediately on booking
If payments are not received within 5 working days of their due date, centralcannes.com can invoke the cancellations policy and release the apartment for resale. In good faith, efforts will be made to contact the client to facilitate any outstanding payment.
In the case of properties reserved and being paid by way of electronic bank transfer:
If the payment is not received within 6 working days of the online booking date, centralcannes.com can release the apartment for resale and keep the non-refundable €150 reservation fee.
We reserve the right to cancel any booking, where due to a technical fault of our booking website, an incorrect price was quoted, lower than the published and listed rate for an apartment.
Travel Insurance
French law requires all parties to be covered by comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for personal liability, while occupying a rental property. It is expected that all those renting apartments have up to date travel insurance.
Complaints
The apartments, their locations and facilities are listed as accurately as possible. We are renting the apartments as described and detailed and are not responsible for any outside factors external to those apartment buildings. We do not accept responsibility for unexpected breakdowns of utilities, appliances, lighting or essential services. We cannot control external factors such as noise, traffic or building works. We will however, through our local property team, make our best efforts to solve any problem in a timely manner. If you do experience a problem, please call the local housekeeper (whose details are posted inside the front door of each apartment) or call our offices, as soon as possible.
Cleaning
Final cleaning of the apartment is included in the prices quoted. However, it does not cover personal cleaning such as washing dishes or removal of rubbish or bottles. Additional cleaning charges may be assessed against the breakages deposit held if the apartment is not left in a satisfactory condition at the end of the rental.
Liability
You, the renter, agree not to hold us responsible or liable for any acts or outcomes connected with your use and occupancy of the property, including but not limited to injuries, damage, and losses from fire, theft or criminal activity.
Refundable breakages deposits
Breakages deposits are returned in full, after departure, once housekeeping have confirmed that the property has been left in a satisfactory condition and the keys have been returned, safely and on time.
In the unfortunate event that there is some breakage or damage caused to a property, the breakages deposit will be used to replace the broken item or make good any damage. The remaining balance will be refunded, under advice, to the client. It is expected that clients will advise centralcannes.com in the event that they have caused any damage/breakages.
Check-in and Check-Out Times
Check-in time on arrival date is from 4pm
Check-out time on departure date is 10am, at the latest
Any alternative check-in and check-out time must be agreed in writing beforehand
Cancellations
- If a cancellation is advised, in writing, 90 days or more before the planned arrival date, a 20% cancellation fee will be charged.
- If a cancellation is advised, in writing, between 90 and 60 days before the planned arrival date, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
- If a cancellation is advised, in writing, 59 or fewer days before the planned arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
If centralcannes.com manages to rent the dates again subsequently, for the same amount, the client will receive a refund of the cancellation fee charged, less an administration fee of €140.
Contingency
If, for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to provide you with the property you have booked, we reserve the right to relocate you to a similar property. If no suitable alternative is available, or you do not wish to be transferred, we will cancel the booking and refund the full amount paid to us. We will not be liable for any further obligations or claims by you. While in situ, in an emergency (i.e. flooding, power failure), if the property is not habitable, we will make every effort to provide an appropriate alternative accommodation. If you choose not to take up the offer of alternative accommodation, we will refund a pro-rated amount of the rental amount paid
